The Opportunity:

As the Director of Sales & Partnerships, you will play a crucial role in growing Team Liquid’s partnerships and driving sales. You’ll be focused on securing new business, maintaining long-term relationships, and providing strategic direction to a growing sales team. This position will have a direct impact on Team Liquid’s revenue and future success within the esports industry.
Location: Los Angeles, CA or US remote
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Guide, mentor, and develop the sales team, setting clear performance goals and providing continuous coaching and feedback.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key partners, ensuring high-quality execution of partnership deliverables and alignment with business strategies.
- Develop and execute Team Liquid’s sales strategy, identifying and closing high-value deals, and managing a dynamic sales pipeline.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, talent management, and operations, to enhance partnership activations.
- Manage contract negotiations and ensure mutually beneficial alignment with partners.
- Create strategies to maximize upsell and renewal opportunities for existing partnerships.
- Track sales performance using key metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or partnerships, preferably within the esports, entertainment, or related industries.
- Proven experience in managing and developing a sales team and driving revenue-generating initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in negotiating and closing high-value deals, with a strong track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in developing and executing business strategies that align with company goals and drive growth.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and strategies to internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong ability to assess sales performance, identify trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Fluency in English, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, global environment.
- Ability to travel up to 20%, including both domestic and international travel.
You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in hardware, tech, and Web3 in partnerships and sales
- Established industry network with existing business relationships.
- Experience in a senior strategic role within a sales or partnerships function.
- Strong expertise in digital marketing, sponsorship sales, and brand partnership strategies.
Benefits:
The salary range for CA and US remote is: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
