Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition
About Team Liquid
Team Liquid began as a StarCraft clan in 2000 and grew into a global esports and gaming organization. At our heart, we're still a community of people who love competitive gaming.
Our main quest is to forge a global fandom that celebrates creativity, mastery and kindness.
Across our teams, creators, content and Liquipedia, we bring people closer to the games they love. That takes colleagues with different skills, perspectives and backgrounds, working together across countries and disciplines.
Joining Team Liquid means helping shape what comes next. We value people who take ownership, stay curious and support those around them—and who care about how we succeed together.
About the Team
People & Culture helps Team Liquid attract, develop, support, and retain the people who make our business and competitive ambitions possible.
We are a lean, global team that works closely with leaders and local stakeholders across countries, functions, and time zones.
Over the next year, we are building a more consistent recruiting function, improving the candidate experience, and supporting the rollout of SmartRecruiters as part of SAP SuccessFactors.
The Role
As Senior Manager, Global Talent Acquisition, you will own recruiting across Team Liquid’s global operations. This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can set the strategy and personally deliver the work. You will advise leaders, source and interview candidates, manage offers, and build the processes and tools needed to improve how we hire.
In your first 90 days, you will learn our business and hiring priorities, build relationships with key stakeholders, assess our recruiting practices, and establish a clear plan for priority searches and the SmartRecruiters rollout.
What You'll Own
Own priority searches from intake through offer, with clear hiring plans, timelines, and candidate pipelines.
Build practical sourcing strategies for different roles and markets, including proactive outreach to passive candidates.
Help hiring managers define realistic requirements, run effective interviews, and make consistent hiring decisions.
Improve recruiting processes, including intake, interview planning, evaluation, reference checks, candidate communication, and reporting.
Partner with the P&C team on the SmartRecruiters implementation within SAP SuccessFactors, including requirements, workflows, testing, and adoption.
Maintain reliable recruiting data and report on pipeline health, bottlenecks, hiring progress, and priorities.
Deliver a professional and respectful candidate experience across every search.
AI Fluency at Team Liquid
Using AI thoughtfully is an expectation across Team Liquid, including in non-technical roles. We’re looking for people who explore how these tools can improve their work, test ideas and share what they learn with their teams.
In this role, that could include:
Using approved AI tools to improve sourcing research, job descriptions, candidate communications, and interview preparation.
Using AI to identify recruiting trends, analyze pipeline information, surface potential bottlenecks, and support hiring analysis.
Exploring ways to improve recruiting workflows while protecting confidential candidate and company information.
You don’t need to be an AI expert on day one. We do expect a willingness to learn, experiment and build confidence. Just as important is knowing how to check outputs, protect confidential information and recognize when human judgment is essential.
Whether you’ve used AI at work or explored it independently, we’re interested in what you’ve tried, what you’ve learned and how you would apply that learning here.
What You'll Bring
5–8 years of progressive talent acquisition experience.
Experience independently managing full-cycle recruitment and improving recruiting processes.
Experience recruiting across multiple countries or regions.
A strong record of sourcing, assessing, and closing candidates, including hard-to-fill roles.
The ability to turn business priorities into a recruiting strategy and execute it directly.
Confidence advising hiring managers and business leaders on requirements, budgets, market conditions, and tradeoffs.
Strong organization, judgment, discretion, and follow-through.
Experience using applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, recruiting analytics, and reporting.
Experience working in fast-paced, high-performance environments.
Demonstrated curiosity about and hands-on use of AI tools in your work.
You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have
Experience as the primary recruiter or as part of a small People & Culture or recruiting team.
Experience supporting an ATS implementation or migration, ideally SmartRecruiters or SAP SuccessFactors.
Experience in esports, gaming, sports, or entertainment.
Experience supporting inclusive hiring practices.
Additional language skills relevant to Team Liquid’s operating regions.
A side project, portfolio, or personal experiment that shows how you think.
Our Values in Action
Team Liquid runs on six values — they're not posters on a wall, they're how we hire, promote, and work every day.
Integrity — We do the right thing, even when it isn't easy or convenient.
Humility — Empathy, listening, and respect matter more than being right.
Pursuing Excellence — We treat self-improvement as a never-ending journey, not a destination.
Curiosity — We have an insatiable thirst to understand ourselves and the world, including the new tools reshaping how we work. This is where our AI Fluency expectation comes from — curious people build the future faster.
Authenticity — We welcome who you are, as you are. There's no pressure to fit in.
Inclusivity — We work to be an equalizing force that humanizes differences and builds safer communities.
Life at Team Liquid
Across every Team Liquid office, you'll get:
Game Day, once a quarter — the whole office pauses to play games together and enjoy some friendly competition.
In-house chefs at every facility, serving two meals a day.
Three extra global holidays — one for each continent we operate on, celebrating our global presence.
We're looking for people who are genuinely excited to build this with us, not just fill a seat.
If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, please let us know. We're happy to work with you to ensure you have what you need.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Team Liquid is an equal opportunity employer. We view everyone as an individual, and we know inclusion means more than diversity — it means belonging. We celebrate what makes each of us unique; it's a core part of what makes us good at what we do.
Agencies: Team Liquid does not accept unsolicited resumes from agencies and is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited candidates.
