Sales & Partnerships Manager
About Team Liquid
Team Liquid began as a StarCraft clan in 2000 and grew into a global esports and gaming organization. At our heart, we're still a community of people who love competitive gaming.
Our main quest is to forge a global fandom that celebrates creativity, mastery and kindness.
Across our teams, creators, content and Liquipedia, we bring people closer to the games they love. That takes colleagues with different skills, perspectives and backgrounds, working together across countries and disciplines.
Joining Team Liquid means helping shape what comes next. We value people who take ownership, stay curious and support those around them, and who care about how we succeed together.
About the Team
Team Liquid’s Commercial team grows and supports our commercial business across Sales & Partnerships, Experiential & Activation, Business Intelligence, and Business Development.
Together, these teams turn Team Liquid’s teams, creators, events, audiences, and broader ecosystem into valuable opportunities for brands — from identifying and selling partnerships to developing new commercial opportunities, using data to inform decisions, and bringing partnerships to life.
Within Commercial, our Sales & Partnerships team is a small, senior group that stays close to the work. We build relationships, develop proposals, negotiate deals, and manage partnerships ourselves rather than handing each part of the process to a different team.
In Brazil, the team works closely with Marketing, Creative, Talent Management, Events, Finance and other teams to develop partnerships that create value for our clients, our fans and Team Liquid. From identifying new opportunities and developing proposals to growing existing accounts and bringing partnerships to life, the team combines strong commercial thinking with an understanding of Brazil’s gaming, esports, entertainment and sponsorship landscape.
The Role
As a Sales & Partnerships Manager, you’ll help grow Team Liquid’s commercial business in Brazil by building relationships with brands and agencies, developing new business opportunities and growing existing partnerships.
You’ll own commercial opportunities across the sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through proposals, negotiation, and close, while also managing relationships with assigned clients and identifying opportunities to expand their work with Team Liquid.
This is a hands-on commercial role for someone who can build trusted relationships, tell a compelling partnership story, and keep opportunities moving. You’ll work across Team Liquid to develop solutions that connect client objectives with our teams, talent, content, events, media, and other commercial assets while keeping pricing, scope, margins, and delivery in mind.

Research and identify companies whose marketing objectives align with Team Liquid’s audience, talent, platforms, and commercial capabilities.
Develop new business opportunities from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
Lead client meetings, discovery calls, pitches, follow-ups, and commercial presentations, involving leadership when needed for more complex or strategic opportunities.
Build compelling, customized proposals that connect client objectives with Team Liquid’s assets and expected partnership impact.
Navigate client questions and objections, maintain momentum throughout the sales process, and establish clear next steps.
Contribute directly to individual and team revenue targets through new business, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline information, and revenue forecasts.
Client & Partnership Growth
Serve as a key point of contact for assigned partners, agencies and clients, building credible and long-term relationships.
Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, marketing objectives, priorities and challenges.
Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships through additional campaigns, activations, content, talent, events and other Team Liquid assets.
Support renewal and expansion conversations while protecting the long-term health of client relationships.
Help manage partnership deliverables from brief through execution, ensuring alignment on scope, timelines, quality and client expectations.
Anticipate risks or challenges and communicate proactively with clients and internal stakeholders.
Support partner reporting by translating campaign performance, engagement, media value and other relevant KPIs into meaningful client-facing insights.
Commercial & Deal Management
Develop commercially viable partnership proposals based on client objectives, available inventory, pricing guidelines and expected margins.
Understand pricing, margins, COGS and commercial trade-offs when structuring opportunities.
Manage scope and approved project costs for assigned partnerships and identify potential financial risks before they affect delivery.
Track deal value, contracted revenue, costs, invoicing milestones and other key commercial information.
Work closely with Finance and other internal teams to coordinate contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and payment milestones.
Maintain visibility into revenue performance, forecasts and potential risks or changes.
Balance client needs with Team Liquid’s commercial and operational requirements throughout the deal lifecycle.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Build strong working relationships across Sales, Marketing, Creative, Talent Management, Events, Finance and other teams.
Coordinate internal stakeholders to keep proposals, approvals and partnership deliverables moving against commercial deadlines.
Translate client needs into clear internal briefs and collaborate with teams to develop creative, executable and commercially viable solutions.
Share relevant market insights, client feedback and emerging commercial opportunities with the broader Sales & Partnerships team.
Represent Team Liquid at relevant gaming, marketing, sponsorship and industry events and continue building relationships across the Brazilian market.
Contribute to improvements in sales processes, reporting, tools and ways of working.
AI Fluency at Team Liquid
Using AI thoughtfully is an expectation across Team Liquid, including in non-technical roles. We’re looking for people who explore how these tools can improve their work, test ideas and share what they learn with their teams.
In this role, that could include:
Using approved AI tools to support prospect and market research.
Using AI to analyze client, category and sponsorship trends and identify potential commercial opportunities.
Supporting proposal development, presentations and sales workflows with AI while applying strong human judgment.
Exploring ways to make prospecting, research, reporting and other commercial processes more efficient.
You don’t need to be an AI expert on day one. We do expect a willingness to learn, experiment and build confidence. Just as important is knowing how to check outputs, protect confidential client and company information and recognize when human judgment is essential.
What You Bring
You have:
3+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, partnerships, sponsorships, media or a related field.
Experience managing client relationships and commercial projects from brief through delivery.
Strong understanding of sales and account management fundamentals, including prospecting, pipeline management, proposals, negotiation, and account growth.
Experience leading client meetings, pitches, or commercial presentations and adapting your approach to different stakeholders.
Ability to understand client business and marketing objectives and translate them into compelling commercial solutions.
Comfort working with commercial targets, revenue goals, forecasts, pricing and pipeline expectations.
Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities, projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and keep stakeholders aligned around commercial priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency in Google Workspace, PowerPoint and project management tools.

AI fluency, with the ability to use tools such as Gemini and Claude to support research, analysis, proposal development and sales workflows.
Professional fluency in Portuguese and English.

It would be great if you also have:
Experience working in gaming, esports, entertainment, sports, media or sponsorships.
Strong knowledge of the Brazilian gaming, esports, entertainment and sponsorship landscape.
Existing relationships with brands, agencies or marketing decision-makers in Brazil.
Experience selling sponsorships, branded content or integrated marketing partnerships.
Experience working with creators, influencers, talent or professional players.
Experience developing integrated campaigns across content, events, social and digital media.
Familiarity with prospecting and sponsorship intelligence platforms such as LinkedIn or SponsorUnited.
A genuine interest in gaming and an understanding of the audiences, brands and culture shaping Brazil’s gaming and esports ecosystem.
Our Values in Action
Team Liquid runs on six values. They're not posters on a wall, they're how we hire, promote, and work every day.
Integrity: We do the right thing, even when it isn't easy or convenient.
Humility: Empathy, listening, and respect matter more than being right.
Pursuing Excellence: We treat self-improvement as a never-ending journey, not a destination.
Curiosity: We have an insatiable thirst to understand ourselves and the world, including the new tools reshaping how we work. This is where our AI Fluency expectation comes from — we believe curious people build the future faster.
Authenticity: We welcome who you are, as you are. There's no pressure to fit in.
Inclusivity: We work to be an equalizing force that humanizes differences and builds safer communities.
Life at Team Liquid
Across every Team Liquid office, you'll get:
Game Day, once a quarter — the whole office pauses to play games together and enjoy some friendly competition.
In-house chefs at our facilities, providing meals for employees.
Two extra global holidays — one for each continent we operate on, celebrating our global presence.
We're looking for people who are genuinely excited to build this with us, not just fill a seat.
If you need a reasonable accommodation at any point in the application or interview process, reach out to HR@teamliquid.com. We'll work with you to make it right.
Equal Opportunity Employer
Team Liquid is an equal opportunity employer. We view everyone as an individual, and we know inclusion means more than diversity — it means belonging. We celebrate what makes each of us unique; it's a core part of what makes us good at what we do.
